Collected our Wedding Bands

Yay we have collected our wedding bands after a 3 months wait! I love how my band fits perfectly with the solitaire. Will wear both rings together on the same finger after our wedding next year. But in the meantime, we will also wear the wedding bands during the photoshoots.

 

 

Orchard Hotel Wedding Show

Very few hotels have wedding shows in Dec as it is a peak period for weddings and corporate D&Ds. Surprisingly, there is a wedding show at Orchard Hotel (with free admission). This is the best show that we have been to. Not only is the set up grand, the hotel is not stingy to put up candy bars, cocktail station and other food for us to try. There were also numerous merchants which took part in their show. Most importantly, they had 19 lucky draw prizes hahaha. Actually Orchard is a good choice for its high ceiling, but they require a min of 40 tables on a Sat. $1138++ per table.

No we didn't win anything. Nvm, will continue to try our luck when we are free.

One More Year

In exactly one more year's time, we will say 'I do' in front of our family and friends.

Seriously, 6 years already? Time really flies. He was 20 and I was 19 when we got together. How sure were we that we were the right one for each other at that tender age? Frankly, not very sure. Love is a gamble right, you never know what would happen in future. But now, I am glad that we were bold to place that stake 6 years back, cos we are on a winning streak. Sure we have our share of arguments throughout the 6 years, but they weren't anything major. Small buckles on an off which outlive itself not more than one day later. When I think back, I also cannot remember what we argued about. But I love it that when we argue, I feel his love for me even more. Never once would he leave the problem as such, avoid me, leave me alone, shout at me or say sarcastic remarks. Instead, we are drawn closer, we talk and we understand each other's feelings even more.

He has his way of expressing his love and himself. Though not in a romantic way that I would like it to be, it's sufficient (or that I already adapt to it) for us to still remain in a honeymoonie period throughout the 6 years. Who says that honeymoon period for a couple is only in its first 3 months? How would that ever be possible! If it is that way, then the person probably isn't the right one for us already. As we progress in a relationship, love should blossom even more than wilt away. One year later, I'm sure that we will still feel that we have made the right choice. Happy 6th anniversary my darling.

The real shoes

Hahha, after visiting Rico that day and realized that I need to buy a proper pair of silver bridal shoes, we started shopping again! This time round, decided to get something from Anna Nucci as they sell lots of variety of bling shoes. Seriously, I wonder when I would wear this again after the wedding as it is too bling - but I really love it after I put my feet in it. This is my most expensive footwear ever at $158.80 (Nike shoes that I bought were also cheaper lor). To make myself feel better that this is a justified amount, I counted the number of crystals in each side. Hahha ya laugh at me. But to my very pleasant encounter, I counted 700 over blings on each side! (but really cant tell right) Yay, and I concluded that my money is justifiably spent.

This pair is 4 inches tall. I would be 183cm after wearing it. But during photoshoot, you need something tall like this to look good, esp if there are shots which show the shoes. I have thought that perhaps I should buy something lower, but if I don't look tall during my wedding, then when should I look tall?! Moreover, since he would still be taller than me, I shouldn't 'waste' it hahah. But the thing about me is that sometimes I still get the nagging feeling in myself to buy a lower pair of heels. Haha, see lor, see whether I will succumb to my own self-thoughts and buy another pair next time oops.

 

Darling also decided to buy a pair of formal black shoes for himself for the photoshoot and AD. His current pair is already old, so he also has a justified reason to buy. Found this at Pedro, after 15% discount, it's $105.
