Guess what, we bought a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine! Haha, my mother bought a coffee machine many years back and nobody in the house was interested. Seems like we were a mountain turtle for quite some time. Perhaps it could also be due to marketing and the publicity of these machines at all departmental stores and even NTUC. We tried the drinks made by the machine at TANGS one day and found that it is really good, like cafe style. And hence ta-dah, we decided to invest in one.
There are 2 popular brands that we know, Nespresso and Nescafe. At first, we thought that Nespresso is part of Nescafe since the naming is so close. But no, they are different. Nespresso is the attas one. We decided to buy a Nescafe one in the end because you can easily find the capsule at any supermarkets. It's more convenient. There are also many models to choose from but what is different is actually only the design. The coffee that comes out tastes all the same. And hence, we set our eyes on the most economical model which comes in white, the colour we are looking out for.
This is the Mini Me model which sells at $199. But if you shop long enough, you will know that at certain times, the departmental stores/ NTUC will sell this at a promotional price of $159. And then one day, i received a passion card newsletter that says that it is only selling the same machine at $99 if we purchase this and 6 boxes of capsules online! Deal breaker. We decided not to wait anymore and just order this online. Keyed in the passion card promotional code and yes, it will be delivered to our house on 10 Dec!
