Ballroom Day 1

Today is the first ballroom hunting day. Basically we want to collect the banquet brochures of the various hotel. I know that there are information online, but we just want to be sure of the price for 14 Dec 13 and to peek at the ballroom at the hotel if they are available. Can only know how the feel is like when you are there. We went to the clarke quay and orchard area to hunt for hotels. For those that we were not able to get the information, will update later. Even though it was tiring, but we're enjoying the hunting process!

1) Novotel
Priced at $1,128 nett, with min 30 tables, this is within our budget. However, the hotel ballroom and corridor looks normal, and the exterior of the hotel looks dated. To KIV first.

2) Hilton
Priced at $1,118 nett, with min 40 tables, this is within our budget but we only have about 35 tables. We love the feel of this hotel the best. However the date that we want is currently on waiting list. Also don't know whether we should squeeze another 5 tables out. To KIV first.

3) Mandarin Orchard
Priced at $1,248++, with min 50 tables, this is definitely out.

4) Marriott
Priced at $1,388++,with min 40 tables, this is definitely out.

5) Royal Plaza on Scotts
Their maximum capacity is only 12 tables.

6) Pan Pacific Orchard
Priced at $988++, they can only accommodate 12 tables.

7) Intercontinental Hotel
Priced at $1,388++, with min 36 tables, this is definitely out.

Had our meal at Mad for Garlic. It was quite disappointing that we couldn't find something that we really want.
