Happy birthday Singapore! We made use of this public holiday to pick an auspicious wedding date for ourselves. Went to the Si Ma Lu area and walked around to look for a Fengshui master. After walking around, we found a 有缘 master at the Fu Lu Shou complex who charges $50 for picking 2 dates. He asked for our date of birth, our parents' zodiac and preferred period for the wedding. We told him that we prefer a Saturday in the Sep - Dec 13 period.
After checking, there are only 3 Saturdays in Dec which are suitable for us - 7, 14, 28 Dec 13. Perfect! Before we went to him, we already had in mind to hold the wedding on 14 Dec 13, our anniversary date. It would be our 7th anniversary by then :):) Now that he double confirmed that it is an auspicious date, we feel very relieved to hold it on that day! It is also just nice because our flat will be ready in 1Q2014, and darling would have completed his exams then. After we shortlisted 7 and 14 Dec, he told us the auspicious timing of fetching the bride and solemnisation, and the zodiac that clashes for both dates. Now that the first step is done, the next step would be to concurrently proceed to deciding how many tables we need and picking a venue for our wedding dinner!
